Registration FAQs

How will I know that my registration is confirmed?
Whether you register by mail, phone, fax, email, or Web, you will receive a confirmation within ten days. If you do not receive confirmation of your registration within ten days, simply call us at 800-942-4494.

How far in advance do I need to register?
As far ahead as is convenient for you! Early registration secures you a seat and possibly a discount. We do accept "walk-ins" on the day of the event, but we guarantee you a seat. Your best bet is to call us as soon as possible at 800-942-4494.

Do you give discounts for group registrations?
If you are planning on sending a group of three or more, please call Mike Fitton at 704-561-0255 or email him at groupbookings@counciloned.com. Brian will be happy to discuss the training needs of your group and give you details on our generous group registration discounts.

Do I need to make my own hotel and airline reservations?
Yes. Please make all your own travel reservations.

I have a special need. Will you be able to help me?
Please call customer service at 800-942-4494 if you have any special needs. We will be delighted to help you as much as we possibly can.

What time does the conference start and end?

Will lunch be provided?
Yes! Don't miss this fabulous opportunity to network with your colleagues and conference presenters.

What kind of materials are provided?
You will receive conference materials, which will include a copy of all presentations at this event.

Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself, a pen, paper, and an inquiring mind! A light jacket or sweater is advisable as the A/C in the hotel may feel cool for some people.

What should I wear?
Dress for the conference and all networking activities is business casual.

Payment FAQs

Is payment required prior to event?
Yes, payment is required prior to the event with the exception of public sector employees. For public sector employees who have not paid in full, we require a copy of the purchase order.

What is your federal tax number?
Our federal tax number is 68-0367707.

What types of payments do you accept?
You can pay by check or major credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Amex). We can also invoice your employer or organization if provided with a purchase order number.

Refund and Cancellation FAQs

What happens if I need to cancel?
While we wish all our attendees could attend, we understand there are situations that do come up. Please keep in mind that a substitute delegate is always welcome at no extra charge. All cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellation notices should be sent by fax to 941-373-1290 or emailed to registration@counciloned.com.

  • A full refund, less a service charge of $75, is given for cancellations received in writing (letter, fax or email) four weeks prior to the event.
  • For cancellations received between two and four weeks prior to the event, we would be happy to accept a substitute delegate at no extra charge or you may transfer your registration to another event.
  • Regrettably, no refunds or transfers can be made for cancellations received less than two weeks prior to the event, but a substitute delegate is always welcome.

If you have a complaint or have any suggestions, please contact one of our customer service representatives at 800-942-4494. We investigate all complaints very thoroughly.

Speaker FAQs

How do I become a speaker?
If you are interested in speaking at this event, click here to contact the appropriate producer. Please describe the topic on which you wish to speak. All speakers are chosen at the discretion of Council's product development team.

Can I attend the entire conference? Do I have to pay the registration fee?
As a faculty member of this event, you receive complimentary registration for the main conference event. If you would like to attend a particular optional workshop, please click here to contact the appropriate producer. Council reserves the right to limit access to optional workshops to paying attendees if space limitations are exceeded.

What do I need to prepare for my presentation?
You will need to prepare a PowerPoint presentation covering the key points of your session. You will need to submit this PowerPoint presentation (in addition to any supplementary documentation you would like delegates to receive for your presentation) approximately eight weeks before the conference. If you have not submitted your materials by this date, it is your responsibility to provide sufficient copies of your presentation for delegates on the day of your presentation. Council will not be responsible for the cost of copying or shipping presentations that are late.

Can I make copies of my presentation at the hotel?
While the conference hotel might have an on-site business center, Council will not be responsible for the cost of any copies.

Where can I find an outline of my presentation? Do I have to speak to the description in the brochure?
An outline of your presentation can be found on the Web site under "Conference Agenda." Please click here to contact the appropriate producer if you have any questions regarding the content or scope of your presentation. Please keep in mind that delegates have registered for this event based on the information provided to them on this Web site and in our marketing brochure. They will expect all speakers to address the topics outlined in the agenda.

When should I arrive at the conference hotel?
If you do not anticipate attending the entire conference, it is suggested that you arrive at the hotel at least two hours prior to your session.

What should I do when I get there? Where do I go?
After you have checked into the hotel (if you are staying over), please go directly to the Event Registration Desk to register. At that time you will receive a registration pack, conference proceedings, and directions to your session.
